An incredible occasion to take a close look to helicopters used by the Italian Navy. During the briefing, as well as during the visit to the hangars, students will interact directlly with maintainance crew and with pilots, understanding the operational request of rotorcrafts. Observing turbines and advanced components, participants will get a clear idea of how the theory learned at the University is routinely applied at the base. Finally we will visit the Helo Dunker: a training facillity that simulates the ditching of the hellicopter making the crew ready to evaquate it during water landings.

The event will take place on 3rd May 2019 and is reseervent to students of University of Pisa. For logistical reasons the number of participants is limited to 50 and the minimum number is 30. The whole trave expenses are funded by contributions for students’ travel of University of Pisa. The meeting is scheduled at 8:30 am at the parking of Via Pietrasantina.
